Towns near major cities gained prominence after COVID, partly because of their lower infection rates, fewer restrictions and more favourable conditions during the easing of lockdown.
The fact that they had spent a lot of time in confinement has caused future buyers to rethink the type of housing and the place where they would like to have their new residence.
As a result, there has been an increase in the demand for housing with a garden, or with larger terraces, in quiet areas but with good services and communications.

At the beginning of the pandemic we were forced to stay locked in our home for several months, and many discover that we had many shortcomings in our vital space, which are very important: lack of natural light, little space that provides us with fresh air (such as balconies, terraces and gardens, intimacy with respect to our neighbours). This is why we have felt the need to flee to the contrary: Light, tranquility and fresh air.
These characteristics are very difficult to find in the big cities, and if found, it is at prohibitive prices. For all this, and taking advantage of an emerging mode of work (the teleworking), many families have come out of their usual cities to look for something more peaceful and a better quality of life.
A clear example of this is the Costa Blanca and its towns and villages with charm Benidorm, Alicante, Calpe., Torrevieja, Dénia, Altea, Moraira and Benitachell. And the endless landscapes that give us its beaches, coves and mountains.
The Spanish Mediterranean offers a very requested quality of life: Good weather most of the year, sun, sea, mountain, tranquility and in turn, leisure.
If what you are looking for is to improve your quality of life and that of your family and you are thinking of moving in, we recommend a few homes that might be of your interest. In Dream Sun Spain we invite you to discover everything the Costa Blanca offers:
